RV Warehouse supports hospital
Alliston’s Stevenson Memorial Hospital will get some help buying a new dialysis chair thanks to a fundraiser at The RV Warehouse Inc. in Cookstown. The RV Warehouse raised $1,000 at its open house weekend, money the business decided should go to help the hospital’s dialysis unit.
Employee Brian Ingrey said they decided to help buy a new dialysis chair for the satellite clinic because his wife, Ellen, is a kidney transplant patient who spent seven years on dialysis, three times a week.
Ellen Ingrey also volunteered at the open house barbecue, where the money was raised.
“While we realize that there are several different areas that the money could be used, we felt the money should go directly to something that would make the patients lives more comfortable while they were having their treatment,” Brian said.
