The national consumer electronics retail chain, with head offices located in Barrie, boasts more than 900 locations in cities and communities across the country. In fact, 90 per cent of all Canadians live within a 10-minute drive to one of The Source By Circuit City stores.
The company was recognized for the successful brand launch by the Retail Council of Canada and the Retail Advertising Council for the smooth transition and effective advertising campaign.
"Introducing a new national brand in a country as large as ours requires a concrete marketing strategy that is capable of capturing some serious consumer mind share in a very short period of time," said Lyndsay Walter, senior vice president of marketing, The Source By Circuit City. "We launched our new brand quickly and well."
Since becoming The Source By Circuit City, awareness of the brand among consumers has reached 76 percent - a dramatic level of awareness for a brand that was launched one year ago.
Recently, Steven P. Pappas was named senior vice president of small stores for Circuit City Stores Inc. and is responsible for overseeing the continued growth.
