The sexy sumos at Davenport Subaru’s weekend charity car wash were cleaning up more than vehicles in their efforts to raise money for the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre.
The comic antics of the enthusiastic fundraisers garnered many smiles and honks at the Orillia dealership. They also brought in more than $750 for the I Believe Car Magnet Campaign, an initiative of Sinton Transportation.
Davenport Subaru has taken a leadership role in the Orillia leg of the campaign and has raised more than $40,000 to date.
Mike Davenport has pledged to raise a total of $100,000 to support local cancer services. He is pictured here giving a face wash to Aaron Lutes, the centre’s development and special events co-ordinator.
Lutes also hammed it up roadside to entice drivers to join the fun. For more information about the ongoing campaign, call Davenport at 329-4277.
