Georgian Mall was recognized with the Cadillac Fairview SMILE AWARD, at its recent National Conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
The awards evening held during the conference is considered the “Academy Awards” of Cadillac Fairview.
The SMILE AWARD – Super Regional Category is an award given out annually by Cadillac Fairview in recognition of shopping centres that have achieved outstanding results and for “Making It Happen” on a daily basis.
“Making it Happen” is the mission statement of the Cadillac Fairview SMILE program, introduced in 2003, and is the backbone of the experience component in the mission statement. Rolled out across Canada, the SMILE program encourages and rewards employees for delivering exceptional experience to tenants and shoppers.
Georgian Mall’s property scores for the three key attributes in the annual Retail Tenant Survey (overall safety and security, overall responsiveness, and overall presentation), together with the overall service commitment score, finished higher than previous yearly results and also surpassed National and Portfolio average scores.
These incredible results were all following the ambition expansion that created an additional 100,000 square feet of retail space and shopper experience offerings at Georgian Mall.
“Due to the team’s commitment to the Smile program and the positive effects it has had for our Centre that we were selected for this distinct honour,” said Georgian Mall General Manager Jamie Nielsen.
